A Family Legacy
We uphold a more than a 50 year legacy

The Story
In 1973, Emília and Alberto Figueiredo created a small textile company with just six people, four machines and a family dream. What began as a modest operation quickly became the foundation of an industrial and commercial presence with a truly global dimension. Today, Impetus Group stands out for having one of the most complete vertically integrated textile structures in Europe. From research & development and digital creation to knitting, dyeing, finishing, and cutting, the Group controls the key stages of the production process in-house.

This industrial integration ensures flexibility, consistency and a high level of quality across all collections, allowing us to respond efficiently to the specific needs of each customer. Initially focused on underwear and loungewear, Impetus has continuously expanded its expertise through sustained investment in technology, innovation and manufacturing capabilities.
This evolution has enabled the development of a diversified portfolio that includes seamless solutions, sportswear and workwear, combining technical performance with comfort and design.
The Impetus Group is built on a solid and integrated structure that combines industrial capacity, international commercial presence and strategic support areas.

At the core of the Group is Impetus Portugal Têxteis, responsible for industrial operations and for ensuring vertically integrated production. This manufacturing base is complemented by commercial structures dedicated to brand management and development, strengthening the Group’s direct presence in key European markets.

Proximity to the end consumer is ensured by Impetus Retail, responsible for the Group’s own brand's e-commerce channels.
The Group also includes Impetus Mediação de Seguros as a complementary support area, as well as Verdeveste, an industrial unit focused on garment manufacturing. The structure is further reinforced by strategic shareholdings such as Acatel, operating in dyeing and finishing, and Edaetech, focused on technological innovation. This organization enables the Impetus Group to ensure control, efficiency and flexibility across the entire value chain, supporting its position as a leading European textile group with a strong international vocation.
At Impetus we define our strategy and guide our conduct in a comprehensive context of sustainability, which is reflected in the way we create and produce our products and how we manage the waste generated.
We carry in our hearts a family legacy that spans generations and inspires everything we do. For over 50 years, we have grown with the same courage of those who build with their own hands and the same dedication of those who care for what is theirs. Innovation is the path we have chosen to honor this history: a force that drives us to go further, with a vertical approach that ensures proximity, quality, and authenticity in every detail.
